From 11 p.m. this Thursday, November 21, Météo-France places Corsica on orange alert for strong winds. This new episode of Libeccio, particularly marked, will affect the entire island, with gusts expected between 100 and 130 km/h on the reliefs, in Balagne and in the Bastia region. Cap Corse will once again be the most exposed sector, with peaks expected between 160 and 180 km/h.
Faced with these forecasts, the Corsican Community has decided to suspend, as a preventive measure, school transport in several island areas for the day of Friday, November 22.
- Cismonte: school circuits in Balagne, Nebbiu and Cap Corse will not be covered.
- Pumonti: the circuits serving Portivecju and Bonifaziu are also suspended.
Boarding students will nevertheless be able to return to their homes thanks to the maintenance of intercity transport services in the evening. However, morning departures will be modified as follows:
- Departures at 12h00 for lines C1 (Aiacciu-Portivecju), C1 bis (Bonifazio-Figari) and C5 (Portivecju-Aiacciu).
- Departure at 14h30 for line C12 (Calvi-Bastia).
