Need help filing your taxes? Questions about your retirement rights or family allowances? It's not always easy to get through all these administrative procedures, which have mostly been dematerialized with the advent of digital technology.

Open on French territory since 2020, the Services spaces are there to help you and “strengthen the presence of public services near you”.

Two France Services houses in Saint-Malo and Cancale

In the territory of Saint-Malo Agglomération, there are today two France Services houses in Saint-Malo and Cancale. As well as decentralized offices in Plerguer, Saint-Méloir-des-Ondes and Saint-Coulomb. “They respond to a real expectation and a need of the population,” explains Marie-France Ferret, mayor of Saint-Jouan-des-Guérets and vice-president of the Agglo in charge of the living environment and housing. .

And contrary to what one might think, all age groups are affected. Because if they master social networks, we realize that the youngest sometimes also have difficulty understanding administrative platforms.

10,000 people helped locally

In 2023, more than 10,000 people will have been helped locally in their procedures by France Service advisors. “It’s always full,” continues Gilles Lurton, mayor of Saint-Malo and president of the Agglo.

When we see people coming to these houses for help, we understand the distress of part of the population in the face of digital technology.

France Services advisors in all municipalities

To strengthen this local service, Saint-Malo Agglomération, which is piloting the project, will deploy hotlines throughout its territory, from January 6. “France Services advisors will travel to all 18 municipalities,” announces Marie-France Ferret.

These advisors will be seconded to ensure a presence in each municipality for half a day, every two to three weeks. “And during the week or weeks when no office will be held in their village, the inhabitants of Tronchet, for example, will be able to go to a neighboring town rather than having to reach Cancale or Saint-Malo at the other end of the town . »
