The Moroccan national under-17 team achieved an important victory over its Libyan counterpart, 2-0, on Wednesday evening, at Al-Bashir Stadium in the city of Mohammedia, in the third round of the North African Championship qualifiers for the African Cup of Nations.
Ismail Al-Oud scored the first goal early in the seventh minute, before Ziad Baha added the second goal from a penalty kick in the sixty-second minute.
Coach Nabil Baha’s Cubs raised their score to 7 points at the top of the group, after a strong victory over Egypt 5-1 and an exciting draw with Tunisia 2-2.
The Moroccan national team is preparing to face Algeria in the fourth and final round of qualifiers next Saturday.
