A harsh critic of the ravages of Islamism, comedian Sofia Aram did not fail to react to recent news that shocked Germany.
In a newspaper interview Berliner ZeitungMonday, November 18, Berlin police chief Barbara Slowik advised Jews and homosexuals to be careful in “certain neighborhoods” of the German capital. “There are areas, and we have to be honest at this point, where I would advise people who wear a yarmulke or who are openly gay or lesbian to be more careful. In many metropolises, it is advisable to be vigilant in certain public places to protect yourself from any delinquency”declared the police official. Before mentioning, specifically, “certain neighborhoods in which a majority of people of Arab origin live who also have sympathy for terrorist groups”.

For Sofia Aram, these suggested restrictions on Jews and homosexuals are attributable to Islamism, resulting from the multicultural nature of German society. “Even the most moronic on the left will eventually understand that defending diversity and living together requires us to fight Islamism for what it is: totalitarianism”hammered the comedian and France Inter columnist on the social network X.

Sofia Aram regularly attacks the compromises vis-à-vis Islamism of which a part of the left is guilty – positions which attract the hostility of political and media figures from the progressive camp. Last August, for example, she deplored the fact that one of her jokes about an athlete's hijab aroused more indignation in France than the oppression of Afghan women under the Islamist Taliban regime.
