In 2017, Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer are no longer the unbeatable, ultra-dominant entities they once were. The first has been dealing with injuries for two seasons, unable to regain his former level. The second, aging, is on the downward slope. At 35, and after five long years without winning a Grand Slam, the Swiss' career seems behind him. However, after a massacre among the favorites (Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray, in particular, exited prematurely), the two men found themselves in the final of the Australian tournament. An event most seen in a Grand Slam final since Roland Garros 2011.
