In the sixth and last match of the UEFA Nations B League 4th Group, our National Team played away against Montenegro. The home team won the match played at Niksic City Stadium 3-1.
Nikola Krstovic scored the goals that brought Montenegro the victory in the 29th, 45th and 73rd minutes. Kenan Yıldız scored the National Team’s only goal in the 37th minute.
NATIONAL TEAM WILL PLAY A PLAY OFF MATCH FOR THE INTERNATIONAL A LEAGUE
Following this result, our National Team, which remained with 11 points, finished second in its group and lost its right to direct promotion to the A League to Wales. Türkiye will play a promotion match to the A League with one of the teams that finished 3rd in the A League.
Increasing its points to 3, Montenegro finished the group in fourth place and was relegated to League C. Having beaten Iceland 4-1, Wales was promoted to League A as the group leader with 12 points. Iceland finished their group in third place with 7 points.
