Wednesday November 20, Pierre Palmade will be tried before the Melun criminal court for “unintentional injuries”more than a year and a half after the car accident caused by the comedian. Asked by RMC On the eve of the trial, Mila, the woman who lost her baby when she was six and a half months pregnant at the time of the tragedy, spoke about her anxieties.
A highly anticipated trial. On February 10, Pierre Palmade, then under the influence of drugs, caused a serious accident which left several people injured and killed an unborn baby. In this case, he was initially prosecuted for “injuries and manslaughter” resulting in an ITT of more than three months. But after a medical assessment, experts concluded that the child carried by one of the victims of the accident died before birth.
Pierre Palmade was therefore not prosecuted for “manslaughter”but only for “unintentional injuries”, which considerably reduces the penalty incurred. During an interrogation at the Melun judicial court, the comedian explained to the investigating magistrate that his guilt “kept growing”. “I am responsible for the death of a child […] My accident killed that baby in her womb. Whether he died before or after childbirth, the result is the same, it's my fault“he added.
