The angry farmers are leaving the Camélat roundabout but access to Agen is, for the moment, blocked by the police. The co-presidents of CR 47 speak with the prefect.
The Camélat roundabout, in Colayrac Saint-Cirq, was completely blocked this Tuesday morning by tractors. Farmers are currently in full negotiations with the prefect of Lot-et-Garonne Daniel Barnier to access the city center. CRS squadrons block all access to the prefecture. Impossible for tractors to pass.
“Mr. Prefect, we are here to have answers,” insists José Pérez, president of CR47, to Daniel Barnier. “I told you last night that there would be no slurry in front of the prefecture.”
“If you do not let us access the prefecture gates, you prevent us from demonstrating, you do not accept agricultural mobilization,” says co-president Karine Duc.
In a press release released a few minutes ago, the prefecture listed the roads closed to traffic. The RD1021, at the Le Rouge roundabout, towards Agen, is affected. A diversion is in place via the RD302 (Vallon de Vérone) and the RD13 (hospital road). The road on the banks and the Camélat roundabout are blocked in both directions.
Strong disruptions are expected in particular at Place Armand-Fallières.
