The sixth week starts tonight The Smartest Person in the World. This means that we will only see twelve new participants before the final weeks start. The first of those twelve is journalist Bo Van Spilbeeck. This is where you know her from.
There seems to be no end to actress Daphne Agten’s winning streak The Smartest Person in the World. Tonight she will appear in the quiz for the eighth time after her sixth victory in a row. Tonight she will compete against two women: entrepreneur Anastasya Chernook and newcomer journalist and author Bo Van Spilbeeck.
Above Van Spilbeeck
Because Anastasya Chernook was able to play comedian Mohsin Abbas home in a very exciting finale, we get to see an all-female get-together tonight. With the exception of presenter Erik Van Looy, we will only see women in it The Smartest Person in the Worldboth in the orange seats and at the jury table. The jury will consist of Soundos El Ahmadi and Jennifer Heylen. And next to Daphne Agten and Anastasya Chernook, Bo Van Spilbeeck will take a seat tonight.
Bo Van Spilbeeck is a journalist who works at the VTM News Service. Although she now works for the commercial channel, she started her career at the public broadcaster, at BRT International (now RVi). In 1999 she switched from BRT to VTM.
Van Spilbeeck announced in 2018 that she is transgender and has since gone through life as a woman. She released the book in 2019 Bo, Finally a woman about her transition. With the book she wanted to “provide insight into what it really means to feel in the wrong body”.
The Smartest Person in the World can be seen every Monday to Thursday at 9:15 PM on Play4 and online via GoPlay.
