Since the beginning of November, the sun has clearly been avoiding Lyon and its region. Over the first half of November, there were only 35 hours of sunshine in the capital of Gaul, or 55% less than in November 2023! And if the weather is very gloomy this fall, things shouldn't get any better… This week, the sky will once again be choppy with temperatures which will continue to fall and even the first snowflakes predicted in the plains and even in Lyon.
The arrival of snow and negative temperatures
From Wednesday, the mercury will be in free fall with only 2°C in the morning and a maximum of 7°C at the best of the day. Thursday is even worse since it should be 0°C in the morning and 4°C in the afternoon with even snow expected in Lyon. Snow in Lyon on November 21 is not unprecedented but it is still quite early…
Friday will be the coolest day of the whole week with a morning marked by negative temperatures with -2°C on the thermometer and a maximum of 4°C. A wave of polar cold which will blow over Lyon until Sunday which will mark the great return of “softness” with 16°C at the height of the day.
Well, we're talking about a few tiny scattered flakes, we'll have to wait a little longer before drawing and sculpting willies in the four corners of the city. Bunch of rascals!
