The students of the château were tasked with recording a previously unreleased track by Grégory Lemarchal in Star Academy. An honor for Maureen, who feels concerned by the lyrics of the song.
After a week full of surprises at the Star Academythe students of the new season of tele-crochets are preparing to welcome former students of the castle to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Star Academy. Jenifer, Nolwenn Leroy, Pierre Garnier… all have had great success thanks to the TF1 singing show. Even Jean-Pascal Lacoste, who made a surprise appearance during the last bonus, managed to do well, without being the biggest singer in his promotion. It is impossible to talk about the castle's former candidates without mentioning Grégory Lemarchal, who died in April 2007. For the occasion, the class of 2024 will perform a new song by the singer, never recorded and which he wrote just a few weeks before his death.
“It’s a lot of emotion for us”confides Lucie Bernardoni to the students of the Star Academy
“I won’t hide from you that it’s also a lot of emotion for us, because we did it with Pierre and Laurence, with the family”announce Mosimann and Lucie Bernardoni to the students of the castle. “Put all your soul, all your guts into it. Your desire to live and sing. Go ahead and make these lyrics your own, these words. We place all our trust and encouragement in you.“encourage Pierre and Laurence, the parents of Grégory Lemarchal in a video addressed to the students of the castle. An honor for the class of 2024, who followed the journey of the deceased young artist. “I am a very big fan of Grégory Lemarchal. I realize a dream that I never thought of. It's a chance”confides Maureen in the confessional.
Maureen's revelations (Star Academy) on his sick mother
“For the personal evaluations, I wanted to talk about my mother, but I didn't know how. I found that it was too sad, the vision of my mother and I wanted to find a song full of hope, but which speaks a little of that I find that this song really touched me, because I said to myself: 'that's it, I found it.'confides Maureen to another student at the castle. “My mother was affected by several illnesses. That's why I take it so seriously, I can't fail on that.”adds the apprentice singer in private. The students only had a few hours to work on the title before recording it and Maureen was unable to contain her stress during this exercise. “I'm putting pressure on myself to “wow”she confides to her tutors, before finally getting out the right notes. Profits from sales of this title will be donated to the Grégory Lemarchal association.
