Michel Polnareff returns with “Sexcetera”, a new “testimony song of his time”

MUSIQUE – « A song that bears witness to its times. » It is with these words that Michel Polnareff described his new piece called Sexceterawhich he presented this Monday, November 18 on TF1 initially in the channel's morning show, before returning to it in the 1 p.m. news.

This new song talks about sexuality, a theme dear to the singer of Love with youwhose pioneering text on sexual liberation unleashed the press in the 1960s. Sexcetera is available on all listening platforms, since 2 p.m.

This is the first single from a new opus, which is due to be released on February 28, seven years later Finally !last original studio album, and three years later Polnareff sings Polnareffcomposed of covers of his repertoire in piano voice and certified gold disc with more than 80,000 copies sold.

The 80-year-old singer also announced on his social networks the upcoming launch of a new tour throughout France in 2025, and at the Accor Arena on June 14. His name? My butt tour.

The Franco-American artist, a fan of playful puns, chose this title as a nod to his famous poster for the concert at the Olympia in 1972 where he showed his buttocks. Buzz, scandal and even a trial… The French pop music troublemaker was sentenced to a heavy fine for indecent assault for this poster.

In the musical landscape since 1966 with The Doll who says no, Michel Polnareff left his mark on French song with his style, his voice and his songs hummed by several generations: Love me, please love me, Letter to France, Goodbye Marylou and others.

In « behind » tour will begin with a date at the Apollo Theater in London at the beginning of April, a first for him, before continuing with concerts in France, starting with the unmissable Printemps de Bourges festival, which he is attending for the first time.
