There is not yet a big rush in the voting centers this Sunday, November 17, the day of early legislative elections. According to information from the prefectures, participation rates have rarely reached 12% at 10 a.m.
In Guédiawaye, the participation rate has not yet reached 10% two hours after the opening of the polling stations. Indeed, in this suburban department, the prefecture indicated a participation rate of 8.1%. Almost the same for Podor who recorded 8%. In the Rufisque department, the prefecture reports a participation rate of 10.3% like Foundiougne which is at 10.4% at 10 a.m.
The departments of Gossas and Bambey in the Diourbel region recorded a participation rate of 11.4% and 10.41% respectively. The prefectures of Sédhiou and Goudomp announced 11.34% and 11.71% respectively. The departments of Oussouye in the Ziguinchor region and Medina Yoro Foula in the Kolda region recorded the highest participation rates at 10 a.m. with 12% and 14% respectively.
