Between Michel Denisot and Canal+, no secrets. The journalist has become one of the most emblematic presenters, having crossed paths with many other big names in the PAF, such as Antoine De Caunes, Yann Barthès and Christophe Dechavanne. The latter animates today What an era! alongside Léa Salamé, who hosted Michel Denisot on Saturday November 16 to discuss the 40th anniversary of the encrypted channel. Listing the numerous journalists he was able to meet, Michel Denisot focused on Charles Biétry, suffering from Charcot's disease. A disease “atrocious” according to his friend, who gave some news about him.
Questioned by Raphaël Glucksmann's companion about the sports specialist, Michel Denisot did not hide his emotion, evoking the courage of his friend fighting against a very complex illness. “He has difficulty speaking, etc., but we communicate a lot by texting”he confided, specifying that they only talk about “light things”. And to explain: “We make predictions on all the matches every time, and we have never won.” Enough to reassure fans of the sports journalist about his morale and state of health.

Michel Denisot and Charles Biétry, friendship before Canal+
Today they have become among the most famous faces of those who have passed through the ranks of the channel which is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, Michel Denisot and Charles Biétry did not meet in the corridors of Canal+ as one might suppose. In reality, their friendship was born well before the channel, as Michel Denisot explained in front of the France 2 cameras. “Charles, he’s a friend from before Canal”he said. When he arrived at the Canal+ sports department, he remembered: “We talked a lot together about sports broadcasts, and when the channel started I gave his phone number to Pierre Lescure, who already knew who it was. And it started like that.” A beautiful story which shows that private life and professional life are not incompatible.
