This Saturday, November 16, Lucie Bernardoni informed the students that a tribute to Grégory Lemarchal will be paid on the next bonus of the Star Academy. An announcement that shocked the candidates.
After the bonus of surprises which notably marked the departure of Emma, Michael Goldman announced the theme of the coming week for the candidates of la Star Academy. This will be alumni week. To inaugurate the festivities, Lucie Bernardoni was accompanied by Quentin Mosimann this Saturday, November 16 in the live broadcast on TF1+. The coach reminded them that the prime would also celebrate the twenty years of the fourth season of the Star Academy where she was a finalist against Grégory Lemarchal. Moreover, academicians will have a very nice privilege: “You will discover for the first time the title that Grégory wrote in 2007 and for which Quentin made the musical arrangement. You will have the honor today of recording this piece in the studio”she indicated. Quentin Mosimann then added: “I won’t hide from you that it’s also a lot of emotion for us.”
The parents of Grégory Lemarchal send a message to the candidates of the Star Academy
But that's not all. Pierre and Laurence Lemarchal sent a video message broadcast to the castle. “It is with great pleasure that we send you this video. First of all to congratulate you on the journey you have made since the start of this adventure because we are obviously watching you”began Grégory Lemarchal’s dad. His companion then added: “It's not easy to talk about it (…) It's not easy because there is a mix of emotions and on video it's not easy.” Laurence Lemarchal notably revealed the particularity of this song: “You need to know that Grégory had written several texts. But since his departure, this is the first time that a text by Grégory will be interpreted (…) it touches us enormously because twenty years ago Grégory was in your place and we were in your parents' place (…) We are proud and happy that it is you who perform this song (…) We give you all our trust and encouragement.”
Lucie Bernardoni tells the story behind this song
Just like Grégory's parents, Lucie Bernardoni stressed the importance of appropriating the text and singing it from the heart while immersing oneself in one's personal history. Moreover, the professor specified that it is the same composer as that of her hit Write history”who worked on And if you smell. Lucie Bernardoni then told, not without emotion, the story behind this piece: “One important thing is that Gregory died on April 30, 2007. He wrote the song on March 15, 2007. He was waiting for a lung transplant.” All profits from the title will be donated to the Grégory Lemarchal association in order to help other people suffering from cystic fibrosis. A gift that overwhelmed the students who almost all burst into tears while listening to the song.
