SmackDown airs tonight (Nov. 15) with a live show emanating from Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This is the second episode of SmackDown during the four week build towards Survivor Series, which takes place on November 30.
Here we go again with the Street Profits
Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins have each publicly expressed frustration with how things are going for them in WWE. They haven’t held a tag team championship in nearly four years, and the rumor mill indicates that even some of the wrestlers don’t know if their comments are a shoot, a work, or some combination of both.
Their lack of championship gold hasn’t been due to a lack of title matches, at least not in recent months. The Street Profits were booked in televised title matches on Aug. 23, Sept. 10, and Oct. 4, and they failed to bring home the ultimate prize each time.
Here we go again, because the Street Profits’ monthly title shot is happening tonight on SmackDown when they challenge Motor City Machine Guns for the WWE tag team championship. Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin have kicked off their WWE run on a hot streak, winning every single match so far, including last week against A-Town Down Under. Ford and Dawkins will clearly be the underdogs in this title fight.
Will it be yet another frustrating and disappointing night in WWE for the Street Profits? Tune into SmackDown tonight to see if they can dethrone MCMG and finally win a championship.
The rest of tonight’s card
WWE Women’s Champion Nia Jax vs. Naomi is the other title match on the card. Jax lost a non-title match against Naomi last month, so now the gold is at stake. Will Tiffany Stratton steal the show by cashing in her Money in the Bank contract, or will Jax snap out of her mini-slump with a decisive victory?
Other stuff to keep an eye on
– Kevin Owens is more dangerous than ever before, and he proved that last week by using a banned piledriver on Randy Orton and sending him off in an ambulance. Orton is now injured and indefinitely out of action. What does Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes plan to do about this latest development with his unhinged former ally?
– General Manager Nick Aldis introduced a women’s United States championship last week. Coincidentally enough, Bayley happened to get back in the winners column with a victory over Candice LeRae, and I think she’s the front-runner to win this new belt. Will Aldis reveal any details tonight on how the first champion will be determined?
– The Bloodline civil war will continue in a War Games match at Survivor Series, but each team still needs to find a fifth man to join up. Is this where Talla Tonga finally debuts in WWE to acknowledge Solo Sikoa as his Tribal Chief? After Sami Zayn failed to recruit Seth Rollins to the OG Bloodline’s side on Raw, Roman Reigns sure could use the strategy of a wiseman to figure out who to ask next.
– Tommaso Ciampa has lost his mind after DIY’s recent losses, and Johnny Gargano can’t get him under control. After beating the shit out of Pretty Deadly all by himself one week ago, will Ciampa take out his aggression tonight on another lower card team like Legado del Fantasma? Or will he go straight to attacking the Motor City Machine Guns and demanding a title match?
– United States Champion LA Knight needs someone new to beat after winning his feud against Andrade and Carmelo Hayes. Who will step up to the plate next?
– No team on Raw or SmackDown can touch WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair. Will they be officially announced as competitors in this year’s women’s War Games match?
– Giovanni Vinci is totally screwed on this SmackDown roster, isn’t he?
– Where the f*** is Shinsuke Nakamura?
What will you be looking for on SmackDown?
