Since the start of the season, PSG has found a reserve team, called Espoirs, which definitely provides many services. Created to allow the titis to play at a higher level than the U19s or to give time to young people who train with the first team, this summer the training welcomed the undesirables dismissed by Luis Enrique and the sports management, Renato Sanches to Juan Bernat via Ilyes Housni, Ismaël Gharbi and even Ayman Kari who trains regularly with this group.
This week, the Hopes section innovated by integrating into the sessions three professionals who are continuing their protocol. Indeed, Gonçalo Ramos, victim of a broken ankle during the first day at Le Havre (4-1, August 16), Lucas Hernandez, affected by a cruciate ligament since May and Presnel Kimpembe, who has not played since February 2023 due to problems with an Achilles tendon, trained from Monday to Thursday while 17 internationals left Paris to join their selection.
To avoid too long a break and continue the good momentum of their recovery, the club decided to have them train on the lower floor. As revealed on the Parisian website, this week allowed Gonçalo Ramos and Lucas Hernandez to resume collective sessions with a less intense pace and above all to prepare for their reunion with the professional group at the end of the international break. Proof that the Frenchman is ahead, he was able to participate in the oppositions throughout these four days, while the Portuguese did not take part.
Presnel Kimpembe was entitled to the same regime as his international friend and also took part in the small matches at the end of the session during which the young Parisians were instructed not to come into contact with the two pros. The defender trained at the club, who has already resumed sessions with the professionals, seems to be on the right track. His feelings are good and the idea of seeing him participate in the Espoirs' friendly match on Friday against Clermont (3 p.m.) was mentioned without it materializing even if the signals remain positive. If it continues its momentum, “Presko” could return to the field before the end of the calendar year. A group at the beginning of December is one of the reasonable objectives.
