The Diamond status award at the WSO Angels Award is one of the most prestigious in the area of combating stroke, and recognizes hospitals that meet strict criteria for quality and agility in the care of patients with stroke. “Receiving this award is a demonstration of the commitment and competence of our team, who work tirelessly to save lives and provide the best treatment for our patients,” said provider Antonio Valério. “This recognition on the international stage fills us with pride and reinforces the importance of the work we do here,” he added.

In the second quarter of 2024, only 17 Brazilian hospitals received Diamond status, of which nine are in São Paulo, including Santa Casa de São Carlos, one of the few public institutions in the state to achieve this distinction. “This award is the result of collective and tireless work, aimed at serving our patients as quickly and accurately as possible, in accordance with the best global practices in the treatment of stroke,” highlighted Dr. Vitor Pugliesi.
