Did Sébastien Delogu insult Aurore Bergé in the middle of a debate in the National Assembly?

The Macronist MP “is going to seize the Office of the National Assembly” while she accuses the rebellious MP Sébastien Delogu of having insulted him as a “big trash”.

What happened at the National Assembly this Tuesday, November 12, between Sébastien Delogu (La insoumise) and Aurore Bergé, Ensemble pour la République MP?

The latter spoke on the rise of anti-Semitism in France and the violence which has punctuated the streets of Amsterdam in recent days, provoking numerous howls from the ranks of La France insoumise.

Sébastien Delogu was already sanctioned last May

According to multiple sources, the rebellious MP addressed his colleague by telling her: “You are a big piece of trash.” But the recipient of this invective then claimed on BFMTV not to have “heard the insults”, while the National Assembly raised the question of anti-Semitism.

“I'm trying to concentrate on my point, I just heard a commotion, a commotion, I saw an extremely threatening and aggressive attitude,” she explained.

Budget: text largely rejected in the Assembly – 12/11

Contrary to the sources cited above, the writers of the National Assembly did not hear the same thing. They retained the phrase: “you will end up in the dustbin of History”.

If the content is obviously no longer of the same register, Aurore Bergé announced that her group Ensemble pour la République was going to contact the Office of the National Assembly. “so that sanctions can be taken.”

“We cannot accept having deputies who feel threatened for their simple expression in the hemicycle,” said Aurore Bergé at the microphone of BFMTV.

During this session, Interior Minister Bruno Retailleau regretted “the return” of “the most unbridled and uninhibited anti-Semitism”. Last May, Sébastien Delogu received the heaviest sanction provided for in the regulations of the National Assembly after brandishing a Palestinian flag.
