Popular model and actor Song Jae Rim, known for his role in The Moon Embracing the Sun, passed away in his residence in Seoul. He was 39.
The Seongdong Police Station in the city confirmed the news of his passing, and shared that a two-page letter was found in Song Jae Rim’s residence. Although the authorities have refused to share any other details pertaining to his demise, Soompi reported them as saying, “At this point in the investigation, there are no signs of foul play.”
Apart from his seminal role of a bodyguard in The Moon Embracing the Sun, Song Jae Rim has appeared in prominent roles in various K-dramasincluding Two Weeks, Unkind Ladies, and the latest hit, Queen Woo, and My Military Valentine. He made his debut in the role of a photographer in the 2009 film, Actresses.
Song Jae Rim’s ascension to fame can be attributed to his presence in the fourth season of We Got Married, in which he was paired with popular actor Kim So-eun.

His acting commitments that are expected to be released soon include Get Rich, and Salmon. Song Jae Rim has won awards in the MBC Entertainment Awards and SBS Drama Awards. He was also part of the popular stage musical La Rose de Versailles, where he played the role of Florian Victor Clement de Gerodelle.
