A man under OQTF was caught red-handed this Friday in Toulon (Var). According to France Bleu, this individual had just burglarized around ten vehicles when he attacked that of the National Rally (RN) MP for the 2nd constituency of Var, Laure Lavalette.
When arrested, the man gave the police a hard time. Refusing to get out of the car, he injured two officers in the face. Two minutes later, the RN MP arrived on the scene, when she had an appointment with Catherine Vautrin, Minister of Partnership with the Territories and Centralization. She was detained by the police, in the middle of an intervention.
Bad pick for this burglar
Caught in the act, curled up in the vehicle parked near the beaches of Mourillon, the man under OQTF risks big. In an irregular situation on French territory, he only managed to steal a few coins and cigarettes.
But after attacking the police officers of the Anti-Crime Brigade, the individual subject to an obligation to leave French territory (OQTF) got himself into trouble. As he was already banned from returning to France, he was placed in pre-trial detention following his police custody. He is now the subject of an immediate appearance procedure, scheduled for Wednesday.
