Hold onto your pom poms, Netflix has confirmed that one of its hit docu-series has been renewed for a second season and we can hardly wait!
America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders had us hooked in 2024 and more than a few of us trying to learn the routine to Thunder.
Now the streamer has confirmed that the incredibly dedicated cheerleaders will be back for round two with another season of the show set to sashay its way onto our screens.
Netflix dropped the season two trailer on Monday with a clip of the cheerleaders dancing in a dressing room with last year’s newcomer to the quad Reece Weaver front of the formation.
When the cheerleaders, who were wearing their famous blue and white outfits, walked away, their pom poms were seen on the floor in the shape of the number two.
Confirming season two, Netflix wrote: ‘The cheerleaders and the routine that captivated the world are back for Season 2!
‘With unfiltered access to the auditions, training camp and full NFL season, this is the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders like you’ve never seen them before.
‘AMERICA’S SWEETHEARTS: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders is coming to Netflix in 2025.’
Not much is known about season two as of yet but it looks likely that Reece will play a big role as she was front and centre in the teaser.
A few of season one’s main characters are unlikely to feature prominently in season two as they retired from the team in the last season.
For example, since the first lot of episodes aired Victoria Kalina, whose mother was also a DCC, has moved to New York for the next era of her dancing career
With season two not dropping until 2025, we’ll have plenty of time to rewatch series one and try to master the Thunder routine again… in our dreams!
