From this Monday, November 11, the coolness is felt in places after several weeks of abnormally high temperatures for fall. According to Météo France, you should expect “8 to 12°C, in the north-east quarter as far as Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, 11 to 15°C in the north-west quarter”, and “12 to 17° C on the South-West”. Only the Mediterranean border will reach between 17 and 22°C. The sky will be mostly gray over France. Only a few clearings may appear from Paris to Lille, while the sky will be very blue in the south.
Temperatures below seasonal values
The cold drop will approach France this Tuesday: rain and showers will reach three-quarters of the country. “Precipitation sometimes marked, sometimes stormy” is expected on the coast of Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur. Rains which will spread over Languedoc in the afternoon.
The weather will be changeable in the rest of the country oscillating between gray, clearings and rain during the day.
Temperatures will fall below seasonal values. In the morning, it will be 6°C in Belfort, 9°C in Tours and 12°C in Cherbourg in the northern half. In the south, it will be 4°C in Bourg-Saint-Maurice, 5°C in Gap, 6°C in Aurillac and 9°C from Toulouse to Bordeaux. On the other hand, it will be 13° in Montpellier and Nice. Few degrees will be gained in the afternoon. In the northern half, between 9°C and 11°C are expected and in the southern half from 7°C in Aurillac to 16°C in Nice.
If Wednesday will be sunnier, it will also be even colder. It will be between 3 and 6°C on Wednesday morning in the north. Only the tip of Brittany and the Normandy coasts will reach 10°C. Likewise in the south: 1°C is expected in Bourg-Saint-Maurice, 3°C in Gap, Tarbes and Limoges. Elsewhere it will be between 6 and 12°C. In the afternoon, the thermometer will be around 9°C in the north and 11°C in the south. On the other hand, it will be between 15 and 18°C on the Mediterranean coast.
A national thermal indicator on the decline
According to La Chaîne Météo, the national thermal indicator will be 7.3 this Wednesday – compared to 10.8 this Monday – and will drop to 6.7 this Thursday. And it is in the center and east that the coldest temperatures will be reached. In the morning, it will be 1°C in Vichy, Belfort and Bourg-Saint-Maurice, 3°C in Chaumont and Gap, 4°C in Bourges and Limoges, 5°C in Strasbourg, Bordeaux and Montélimar. It will be between 6 and 10°C in the rest of the country. In the afternoon, the mercury will be more uniform and will hover around 10°C.
On Friday, the sun will still be out, and temperatures, although slightly higher, will still remain low. In the north-west quarter, it will be between 6 and 9°C in the morning, while 2 to 6°C are forecast in the Grand-Est region. In the center and the south, it is expected between 3 and 8°C. 0°C is expected in Bourg-Saint-Maurice. In the afternoon, the thermometer will be around 10°C in the north and 15°C in the south.
These temperatures will be relatively similar on Saturday and will rise again on Sunday. A Sunday which will be very rainy across the country after a sunny Saturday.
