The audience has clearly decided! With a strong 75.61 percent of all audience votes, Christian Jährig (30) from Reichertshofen was chosen as the winner of the 21st season of “Deutschland sucht den Superstar” yesterday Saturday evening.
In the big live final, moderated by Laura Wontorra, he beat Nissim Mizrahi, Philip Matas and Tom Mc Conner with his winning song “On Your Own Legs”. An average of 1.83 million viewers aged 3 and over (MA: 8.9%) were on screen. The final achieved a market share of 11.8 percent (1.01 million) among viewers aged 14 to 59, and 11.6 percent (0.47 million) among viewers aged 14 to 49.
DSDS winner Christian: “I can only thank each and everyone for this great result. I hope to make even more music now and open my heart to everyone else.”
As ‘Superstar 2024’, Christian receives a prize of 100,000 euros and a record contract with TELAMO, the new label partner of “Deutschland sucht den Superstar”. The label, which belongs to BMG, releases the final songs of the season and a Christmas album called “Deutschland sucht den Superstar X-Mas”. The album with cover versions of the biggest Christmas hits will be available everywhere on November 29th, 2024. In addition, the DSDS winner will be a guest at points 6 and 12 on Monday.
