At the end of the morning, Sunday November 17, 2024, a rescue and victim assistance vehicle from the firefighters, flanked by a police vehicle and another from the Smur de Cricqueboeuf, drove with sirens blaring and flashing lights on, in the streets of Deauville (Calvados). It was carrying a runner from the Deauville half-marathon, aged around forty.

Cardiac massage

He suffered a cardio-respiratory arrest during the race. The rapid response of the emergency services on site and the firefighters who performed cardiac massage for several minutes made it possible to resuscitate the man. He was taken to Caen University Hospital.
