Novak Djokovic has confirmed how he plans to commence his 2025 season.
The 37-year-old is now enjoying some down time after a peculiar season by his lofty standards.
In 2024 he entered just 10 tournaments, failed to win a Grand Slam and lost the World number one ranking to Jannik Sinner.
However, Djokovic did win the Olympic gold medal in what was his only title of the season and the one he craved more than any other.
The Serbian also suffered injury this year and after missing the ATP Finals, he aims to return to full fitness in 2025 and try adding to his Grand Slam haul.
Will Novak Djokovic play at the Davis Cup in 2025?

While attending the Euroleague basketball game between Crvena zvezda and Alba in Belgrade, the World number five expressed his desire to compete in the tournament next season.
Furthermore, the 24-time Grand Slam winner also confirmed his plans for the start of the 2025 campaign.
“I am going to play in the first week of the season, I am just not sure yet where. Then, of course, the Australian Open,” Djokovic told Sport Klub via Tennis Majors.
“I told you guys that a million times. I would like to play the Davis Cup too, let’s see what happens.” He added: “Tennis is still my focus!
“I am going at full throttle in the off-season, we go for another ride. I just needed to recharge and refresh a bit after an exhausting year.”
Has Novak Djokovic won the Davis Cup?
Djokovic has triumphed in the Davis Cup on one occasion, and that came back in 2010.
In the final, Serbia rallied from 1-2 down to secure a 3-2 win over France and claim the Davis Cup title for the first time in their history.
Djokovic won two of his country’s three points by defeating Gael Monfils and Gilles Simon. Victor Troicki sealed the win by defeating Michaël Llodra.
“It was unbelievable today,” said Djokovic at the time. “Under the circumstances, maybe one of the best matches I have played this year. It was definitely a lot of pressure, expectations.”
In 2025, Djokovic wants to help his country try and lift the prestigious Davis Cup trophy for a second time.
