According to ACN, the Spanish press agency, around “thirty vehicles” were carried by the current before piling up, blocked in their tracks, against a bridge. Cars parked on the banks of the watercourse despite warnings issued by the authorities, the mayor of the municipality, Pia Serinyana, told Catalunya Ràdio.
