This is the first pro athlete to beat IShowSpeed in a race

American track star Noah Lyles went head-to-head with YouTube star IShowSpeed in a high-energy 50-meter sprint, snagging a $100,000 prize from mega-streamer Mr. Beastwho added to the fun by playing referee in a striped uniform.

The 19-year-old IShowSpeed, real name Darren Watkins Jr., is no stranger to action-packed moments.

With 33 million YouTube followershe’s built a reputation for his athleticism, stunts, and connections with major athletes, including soccer legend Cristiano Ronaldo.

After his victory, Lyles — who dominated at the Olympics with gold in the 100m and bronze in the 200m despite running with COVID-19 — initially passed on a rematch.

But later, he gave IShowSpeed a challenge: “You should practice with me and then at the end of the week, we’ll race again.”
