Then a minute’s silence for the victims of the flood disaster in Valencia and finally things got dramatic.
A medical emergency in the stands left fans worried about the person affected. The fan scene even stopped supporting Bayern Munich – Benfica Lisbon after around 20 minutes.

While all parallel games were already underway, the ball in the Allianz Arena was not yet rolling. Chaos on the Munich subway meant that thousands of seats were still free at 9 p.m. In coordination with UEFA, the game was postponed by a quarter of an hour.

When the Champions League group game, which is so important for FCB, finally kicked off, the next incident soon followed. And that quickly overshadowed the travel problems. In the middle tier of the stadium in block 226, not far from the fan curve, a Bayern fan suffered a medical emergency shortly after kick-off. Paramedics were quickly on site, treated the man, put up a large cloth to protect himself from prying eyes – and the fans of the German record champions were worried.

The man had to be resuscitated several times and was then taken to hospital by ambulance. The mood was depressed and the fan scene ultimately stopped supporting Bayern Munich – Benfica Lisbon out of respect for those affected. The flags were rolled up and no more songs were sung.
Update: As the German record champions announced a few hours after the final whistle, the fan died on the way into the stadium. After being resuscitated several times, he apparently lost the fight in the ambulance.
