In fact, over the period, Active Listening to digital radio recorded an increase of +2% compared to 2023. Over the first three quarters of 2024, podcast downloads increased by +21%, +32% and +22% respectively. At 4th quarter, the Digital Audio Report projects an increase of +18%. If we further compare native podcast and replay, the first displays an average duration per episode of 18 minutes while the second records 11 minutes on average. The podcast is also downloaded mainly via streaming, at 67% (vs. 33% for direct downloads) and largely downloaded from France (78%), compared to 22% outside France. Among the popular themes, Culture and Society comes first (22%) ahead of news (21%), humor (11%), criminology (9%) and education (7%).
