She will face former President Donald Trump, chosen by the Republican camp. The outcome of the election, more uncertain than ever, will depend in particular on the famous “Swing states”, these undecided states which can tip the election.
In France, certain television channels will offer a system to follow this major political event. As a reminder, when it is 6 p.m. in Washington, capital of the United States, it is 11 p.m. in Paris. Here's what you need to know.
TF1 live all night from November 5 to 6
From 6 p.m., LCI will launch a special broadcast from the United States. Darius Rochebin, Jean-Baptiste Boursier and Margot Haddad will notably be live from Washington.
TF1 will be live from Washington, all night from Tuesday November 5 to Wednesday November 6, from 1:30 a.m. For the moment, we do not yet know which journalist will present this special edition entitled “USA 2024, American night”. Bonjour !, Bruce Toussaint's morning show will take over from 6:55 a.m. Wednesday.

A night edition with Laurent Delahousse on France 2
Fifteen hours of air time is the promise of France 2 this Tuesday. From 8 p.m., Anne-Sophie Lapix's newspaper will launch this special evening. It will be followed by a new number ofSpecial correspondent dedicated to the American elections.
From 11:50 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., the special edition “American Night” will be presented by Laurent Delahousse with Etienne Leenhardt and Loïc de La Mornais live from New York, and co-broadcast on franceinfo (channel 27). To bring this election to life, this edition will bring together numerous guests, American and international experts.
Wednesday November 6, Telematin will also be in American colors with Flavie Flament in Paris, and Julien Arnaud in New York. Axel de Tarlé will also be on the set relocated to New York to reveal the name of the future American president.
