After the death of Quincy Jones, tributes pile up

This Monday is a day a little sadder than usual with the disappearance of Quincy Jones. The producer died yesterday, “surrounded by his family”, as confirmed by his family.

If Quincy Jones will undoubtedly remain, for the general public, associated with the success of Michael Jackson's three major albums (Off the Wall, Thriller et Bad) for his production work, the entire profession and well beyond is affected by his disappearance. Because the man was not only a musician, he also produced several films, including The Color Purple – the 1985 Oscar-nominated one and its 2023 remake – or even the sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. He also composed the soundtrack for the 1969 film Gold is disappearingwith Michael Caine, who paid tribute to him. The two artists were born a few hours apart, on March 14, 1933.

Limitless

“My celestial twin Quincy was a titan of the world. He was a wonderful and unique human being, I am lucky to have known him,” the actor wrote on his Twitter/X account.
