Giorgio Ricci returns to Inter Milan from Juventus

Giorgio Ricci has returned to Inter Milan to become the club’s Chief Revenue Officer after a spell at Juventus.

This is confirmed by the club in an official statement.

Inter owners Oaktree Capital have been in the midst of reorganizing the club behind the scenes.

There have been a couple of executives to have headed for the exit door already.

But coming in the other direction, there has been a notable returnee.

Executive Giorgio Ricci had spent a period as Inter’s Chief Commercial Officer.He was at the club from 2012 to 2014.

However, in 2018 he made the switch to Juventus where he fulfilled that role of Chief Revenue Officer.

But Ricci is now back at Inter. He rejoins former Bianconeri executive Beppe Marotta, who is now Inter’s President.

Ricci said of his return to Inter that :I am honoured to be back at Inter, a historic club with a proud legacy.”

“I share the management team’s passion for securing the Club’s strong future and look forward to contributing to its ongoing success.”

“I know the talent and dedication of the Nerazzurri family,” Ricci said.

“Together we will build on the solid foundation already in place.”

“And create new growth paths for the Inter brand in Italy and internationally.”

Meanwhile, Nerazzurri President Marotta also gave his thoughts on the appointment of Ricci.

“We are delighted to welcome Giorgio Ricci back to the Nerazzurri leadership team,” the President said.

“As Chief Revenue Officer he will be an integral part of the continued strengthening of the Club’s financial position and will help to deliver our objective for success on and off the pitch.”

And there were also words from Inter’s Corporate CEO Alessandro Antonello. “Giorgio brings exceptional and invaluable commercial experience to Inter,” he said.

“Including revenue generation, sponsorship deals, and partner and fan engagement.”

“He will help oversee the Club’s continued innovation and digitalization, supporting our ambition of sustainable growth.”
