As of this writing, 214 people have died while an unknown number of people remain missing.

A hundred arrests

On the sidelines of this natural disaster, the Spanish police arrested around a hundred people for looting stores in the regions affected by the floods. B-Fast still at the dock

On the Belgian side, the B-Fast team is still “in the starting blocks” to support local services but the Spanish government has not yet made the request. The B-Fast team can be dispatched within 12 hours of the decision to intervene. Teams and equipment are sent to the disaster areas. The maximum duration of a B-Fast operation has, since last May, been extended from ten days to three months.
