. Max Verstappen could be crowned world champion at the next Grand Prix in Las Vegas

Max Verstappen's victory in São Paulo (Brazil) this Sunday November 3 was as spectacular as it was unexpected. 17th at the start, the Dutch driver managed to place his Red Bull at the head of the peloton during the second half of the race. Winner, far ahead of his rival Lando Norris (McLaren, 6th), Verstappen took a big step towards a fourth consecutive world title. He would thus equal Alain Prost (1985, 1986, 1989 and 1993) and Sebastian Vettel (2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013)

The conditions for a fourth title

While a fierce fight was expected until the end of the season, as the Dutchman's Red Bull seemed to have fallen back in the hierarchy, Max Verstappen can be officially crowned world champion in Las Vegas, during the next weekend race, from November 22 to 24.

Max Verstappen is now 62 points ahead of Lando Norris. He simply needs to finish in front of Lando Norris to be sure of not being caught again. If the British driver only scored one point (or none), Max Verstappen would not even need to score any and could finish behind Norris.

After Las Vegas, there will only be two Grand Prix left, in Qatar and Abu Dhabi, and a sprint race, which will take place in Qatar, meaning a maximum of 60 points to be awarded to whoever wins all three races.
