: US Orléans severely beaten in Boulogne

End of series for US Orléans who were quickly led to the score in Boulogne by a sparkling and realistic northern team before giving in definitively after the break from the penalty spot (3-0).

US Orléans conceded a defeat as large as it was logical, this Friday October 18 in Boulogne-sur-Mer (3-0). They were beaten on a regular basis by a more leggy and realistic northern team. The series of five matches without defeat ends for the USO which drops to fourth place.

First period

US Orléans started this meeting in the worst possible way against a sparkling northern team, dominating and realistic. Vercruysse took advantage of a slip from Bretelle to perfectly throw Averlant who won his duel against Viot (14th).

Eleven minutes later, Epailly got ahead of Giraudon and served Rambaud in the area, who gave the Orléans goalkeeper no chance (25th). The USO could even consider themselves lucky to be only 2-0 down, Vercruysse (40th) and especially Rambaud with a cross on the crossbar, not far from the third.

Second period

US Orléans left with much better intentions. Testud could have restarted it on a bad restart from Pandor (47th) but on a very involuntary hand from Baudry in the area, the referee indicated the penalty point transformed by Rambaud (57th).

Hervé Della Maggiore made four changes. The USO regained some color with a free kick from Khous deflected by Pandor (64th), a rebound from Berthier off target (67th) like the header from El Khoumisti (71st).

The Orléans striker also saw his shot repelled by Zohoré (79th) who replaced his goalkeeper. It was the biggest occasion for the USO. But the mass had been said a long time ago.

Coupe de : easier for US Orléans than for Saint-Pryvé

The sequel

US Orléans will try to forget this defeat this Wednesday, October 23 with the reception of Bourg-en-Bresse at the La Source stadium (7:30 p.m.) for the tenth day of National. And she will travel to Bourgueil (D1) for the sixth round of the Coupe de France on Saturday October 26 (7 p.m.).
