In its 6 a.m. bulletin, Météo- placed 13 departments on orange alert this Thursday: , Haute-Loire, Corrèze, Lot, Pyrénées-Atlantiques, Tarn, Aveyron, Lozère, Ardèche, , Alpes-Martimes, Aude and Hérault. Gard, Lozère and Ardèche, the last three departments still on orange alert for rain-flooding on Wednesday at the end of the day are joined by the Alpes-Maritimes, Aveyron, Corrèze, Lot, Pyrénées-Atlantiques, the Tarn, the Loire and the Haute-Loire. Ardèche, Lozère and Gard are also still on orange alert for floods, joined by Aveyron. For oranges, this concerned Tarn, Alpes-Maritimes, Lozère, Aude, Gard, Hérault and Aveyron.

10/16/24 – 10:33 p.m. – Already notable accumulations in the Cévennes on Wednesday evening

In its 10 p.m. bulletin, Météo-France reports “notable” observations at 9 p.m. this Wednesday evening. The meteorological service indicates that on the relief of the Cévennes and Vivarais, accumulations reaching “150 to 200 mm since the start of the episode, up to occasionally 300 to 350 mm in the Lozère Cévennes” have been noted. 331 mm of rain fell in Villefort (48), but also: 281 mm in Mayres (07) and 204 mm in Moissac-Vallée-Française (48).
