ALL COURT: THE LITTLE BIT OF MADNESS IN THE RENNAIS AND

It took a bit of madness to get up early this Sunday, October 13, to compete in the half-marathon of All Court. On the starting line, the heavy sky, tinged with gray, foreshadowed a day marked by sweat and exploits. But from the first strides on the asphalt, the fatigue vanished! It was replaced by that adrenaline so familiar to runners. The legs were ready, the minds too.

This year again, the peloton was dense, with a majority of male silhouettes. On this double loop through the city, there was more testosterone than estrogen, and a rather low average age. It was Hamza El Ouardi who, once again, dominated the race. The Stade Rennes athlete, a regular on the podium, put his name on the list for the fourth time, finishing the event in 1h 07’54”. Behind him, Anaïs Chevrier, the Vendée from Challans, won the women’s race in 1 h 18’02″.

More All Rennes Courtit’s much more than just running. It is a popular festival, an event where solidarity takes up as much space as sporting achievement. This Saturday, the walk Centre Colombia opened the festivities under the colors of Pink October, in support of the fight against breast cancer. Rennes was adorned in pink for the occasion, with Linda Hardy, godmother of this 15th edition. His smile crossed the streets as surely as the strides of the walkers and elected officials celebrating the event with… great pomp.

This weekend of October 13, All Rennes Court is in its 43rd edition which is breaking new ground with more than 24,500 runners in the various races offered. Since its premiere in 1982, the event has continued to grow. It attracts participants from all walks of life. This year, the registration record was broken once again, proof that the formula remains as attractive as ever. This Sunday promises to be a busy day. From 1 p.m., the 5 kilometer Mutual Harmony gets the ball rolling with a course that winds through the heart of downtown. The youngest then continue: chicks, youngest and youngest over distances appropriate to their age. Then, the long-awaited moment for the elites will come. At 3:30 p.m., the women’s race starts, followed by the men’s at 4:30 p.m. A 2-kilometer circuit around the Charles-de-Gaulle esplanade, to be repeated five times, a challenge for the legs as much as for the the mind.
