20 km from : Mekonen Hayimro Yele and Manon Trapp winners

The forty-sixth edition of the 20 km of , which took place this Sunday, October 13, between the Pont d’Iéna and the Eiffel Tower, in the capital, was won by the Ethiopian Mekonen Hayimro Yele and the French Manon Trapp .

The weather was cool but dry this Sunday morning when the runners set off to tackle the 20 km of Paris, a stone’s throw from the Eiffel Tower.

More than 31,000 people registered this Sunday to participate in the race.

The start took place from the Pont d’Iéna, with the Eiffel Tower in the back. After completing a loop, the runners arrived at the foot of it.

The winner of the 2024 edition therefore wins, in 58’05”. He is ahead of the Frenchman Yann Schrub, who finishes in 58’07”. The podium is completed by another Frenchman, Emmanuel Roudolff-Levise, who crosses the finish line in 58’09”.

For his part, Félix Bour finally finished 5th in 58’15”, after winning the 104th Sedan-Charleville exactly a week ago.

For the ladies, it is therefore Manon Trapp (1h04’46”), who wins, achieving the second best time in the history of the event. She precedes her compatriot Bikile Gudina, 2nd in 1h05’54” and Kenyan Rebecca Chepkwemoi, 3rd in 1h07’03”.

Also note the incredible performance of Anaïs Quemener, six months pregnant, who completed the race in 1h24’22”.
