The dream begins for the new students of the “Star Academy”! This Saturday evening live on TF1, Nikos Aliagas, Karima Charni and director Michael Goldman welcomed the 15 students of the class who hope to follow in the footsteps of Jenifer, Nolwenn Leroy, Elodie Frégé or Pierre Garnier by winning the cult show . The latest winner, whose first album “Every second” has just crossed the symbolic threshold of 100,000 sales, returned to the set last night to pass the torch to Ebony, Julie, Maureen, Noah, Franck and Marine , who has already participated in another famous show before “Star Ac”. Throughout the evening, viewers were able to discover the portrait of these young artists who did not hesitate to give up everything to join the castle of Dammarie-Les-Lys!

A declining audience!

In front of the kind gaze of their godmother Clara Luciani, the students of this class of 2024 – including Emma who sang “We know” in front of Pierre Garnier – also learned the name of the song which will become their anthem. As announced exclusively by Purecharts, it is the title “Start me again” by Santa. In the days that follow, the star academicians will go into the studio for the first time to record their own version of the hit. They will perform it for the first time live next Saturday! While the students will attend their first debriefing of the season this Sunday morning, a dreaded moment, with their new stage expression teacher Marlène Schaff, the audiences for this launch evening of the “Star Academy” are now known. Have the French succumbed to curiosity or shunned the program?

Last night, according to Mediamétrie and our colleagues at Puremédias, there were 3.198 million viewers (32.5% market share among women under 50 responsible for purchasing) who followed the first part of the evening with the first performances of 15 students, encouraged by Clara Luciani and Pierre Garnier. The “Star Academy” therefore comes third in audiences (but remains leader in targets!), swept away by strong competition led by “Murders on the Blue Coast” with Jean-Pierre Foucault as an actor on 3 (4.6 million) and “100% logical: the answer is before your eyes” on France 2 (3.27 million). The second part of the “Star Ac” captivated 2.54 million curious people for 31% of the FRDA-50A market share. For comparison, last year, before the phenomenon around Pierre, Helena, Lénie, Candice or Julien grew, the TV show recorded an audience of 3.76 million viewers in the first part (with a market share of 31.1% on the FRDA-50 target) then 3.10 million for the second as of November 4 (33.9% in FRDA).
