This referral was voted by 10 votes to 9. Only the representatives of the New Popular Front voted in favor of referral to justice.
“The NFP – the majority in the office of the National Assembly – has unsurprisingly decided once again to submit to LFI and its unfounded request against me. The left continues its political and democratic shipwreck“, reacted Aurore Bergé on X (ex-Twitter).
Hearing on April 30, 2024, Aurore Bergé declared before the deputies that she had not, when she was Minister of Solidarity and Family (July 2023-January 2024), none “personal, intimate or friendly connection, or acquaintances“ with Elsa Hervy, the general delegate of the French Federation of Daycare Companies (FFEC).
Statements contradicted by investigative journalist Victor Castanetwho denounces in his book “Les Ogres” the excesses of certain groups deprived of crèches. Aurore Bergé files a complaint for defamation

It will now be up to the courts to initiate proceedings against the former minister or not. “This transmission decision does not constitute a court decision“, recalled the President of the National Assembly, Yaël Braun-Pivet.
