The Student Union, at the national level, published a long press release Tuesday evening. The union explains that it has collected several testimonies denouncing serious facts, of a sexual nature and reprehensible at the criminal level. “None of the events, to our knowledge, took place in Grenoble.” believes on France Bleu Isère the president of the union in Grenoble Camille Pagiras. “We reminded the comrades of the different mechanisms that exist to protect victims, at the national level but also at the local level to welcome the words and listen to the victims. If some were to speak, we are ready to welcome them.” Hugo Prevost was active within the Student Union in Grenoble between 2017 and 2021, before having national responsibilities.
In a press release published Tuesday evening, the union explains having gathered several testimonies of “acts of moral and sexual harassment,
patterns of predation, serious criminally reprehensible acts of a sexual nature”. Facts which extend over a period from 2020 to 2024 estimates the Student Union.
“Our red line”
“We were extremely surprised. We immediately gave our support to the victims. We have political and union circles that are deeply rooted in patriarchy. For us, this is our red line. “It’s inappropriate with one of these functions.” believes Camille Pagiras.
In July 2024, Hugo Prevost defeated former minister Olivier Véran in the Isère constituency, during the second round of early legislative elections.
