VIDEO – The comedian was invited to the Anne-Elisabeth Lemoine set this Tuesday, October 8 for his very first eponymous show but also for his interventions in “Quelle époque!” on 2.

“The sniper of “What an era!” It is through his well-felt barbs and his ability to spare no one every Saturday evening in the second part of the evening on France 2 that Paul de Saint Sernin became known to the general public. After three seasons alongside Léa Salamé, the comedian decided to go solo by putting on his first stand-up show, simply titled “Paul de Saint Sernin”. Every Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday, he plays it at the Théâtre du Marais until December 28.

This Tuesday, October 8, he was the guest of Anne-Elisabeth Lemoine on the set of “C à vous” to talk about his label as a comedian “seen on TV,” his family, his passion for football or his former profession as a journalist. Columnist Emilie Tran Nguyen also wanted to look back on her role in “What a time!” “You are the one who puts your foot in the door, your role is to break this slightly too nice side of the show”she underlined before suggesting that the comedian watch a message sent by Léa Salamé.

“For me, the strength of Paul de Saint Sernin is to have the best repartee on TV today since Laurent Baffie, capable of destabilizing Alain Juppé, Édouard Philippe. Able to ask Valérie Trierweiler if she shares the same sex toy as Ségolène Royal. And at the same time, I think of the Paralympic Games, of having incredible humanity with the para-athlete and sometimes of letting her heart speak”initially praised the France Télévisions host. But so many compliments without nuance would have clashed with the deadpan tone usually used by the comedian.

Léa Salamé has also chosen, and for once, to attack Paul de Saint Sernin at his own game. In her viewfinder? His haircut. “The only question I want to ask you Paul is when are we changing the Louis XIV haircut? When are you going to the hairdresser?”she said with a big smile on her lips. And if the first part of the message seemed to touch the comedian, he quickly regained his composure. “I hate her, I can’t blame this lady”he retorted to the laughter of Anne-Elisabeth Lemoine before adding: “No, I wouldn’t take hair advice from you Léa, ever.” Paul de Saint Sernin then explained that the reference to the King of France came from his first football training where one of his teammates gave him this nickname. “It stuck with me for a very long time.”
