Juventus concede the match to the wire, Celtic hanging on but victorious

Long ahead in the score, Juventus Turin finally conceded a 1-1 draw on Sunday, when they hosted Cagliari in a match on the 7th day of Serie A. Samuel Mbangula started on the left of the Turin attack and was replaced after 77 minutes by Kenan Yildiz, without being decisive.

Dusan Vlahovic opened the scoring on a penalty for the Old Lady (15th). Cagliari equalized at the very end of the match, also on a penalty converted by the Romanian Razvan Marin (88th). This is the first goal conceded in the league by Juve. The Turinese finished the match very badly since Francisco Conceiçao received a second yellow card (89th), leaving his partners to finish the match with ten men.

In the standings, Juventus, still undefeated, is 3rd with 13 points, three less than Napoli, leader, and two less than Inter, second.

In Scotland, Celtic, at the top of the championship, were hanging on but finally won (1-2) on the lawn of Ross County. Arne Engels and his partners conceded the opener before half-time on a penalty from Ronan Hale (43rd). Full-back Alistair Johnston equalized (76th) and Nicolas-Gerrit Kuhn scored the winning goal (88th). Aligned as a right midfielder, Engels played 61 minutes.

The Glasgow club continues with a seventh success in as many days and has 21 points, three ahead of second place Aberdeen, who can achieve the same series in the event of a victory against Hearts (4 p.m.). Philippe Clement’s Rangers are third with 13 points.
