OL-: the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes prefecture deplores “unacceptable violence” between supporters

The supporters completely spoiled the party after OL’s victory against FC this Sunday (2-0). On the sidelines of the match on the seventh day of Ligue 1, groups of ultras clashed inside the Groupama Stadium. The police had to intervene to calm the scuffle.

“The unacceptable violence committed this evening between supporters, on the sidelines of the OL-Nantes match, calls for exemplary sanctions,” commented the prefecture of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and Rhône region on its X account (ex-Twitter). Thanks to the National Police who intervened very quickly to stop this attack and separate the protagonists. »

A young man was slightly injured by a stab wound

According to BFM Lyon, the clash would have taken place between members of the Bad Gones, the club’s historic supporters group, and the Six Neuf Pirates, a nascent collective. The antagonism would be palpable between the two. No injuries were reported but there were reports of attempted stabbings.

Laurent Prud’homme, the general director of Olympique Lyonnais, also reacted on X: “Violence, whatever it may be, has no place at OL. We very strongly condemn the clashes and attacks which took place in the stadium this afternoon. These events are unworthy of our coat of arms. Olympique Lyonnais must remain united and indivisible. »

According to AFP, a young man was slightly injured after being stabbed. “It happened in a few minutes” at the exit of the stadium, “one person suffered a slight injury following a stab wound to one thigh”.
