“All you care about is money”: an impressive anti-UEFA tifo in Dortmund in the Champions League

The message has the merit of being clear. On the sidelines of the Celtic Glasgow reception, this Tuesday early evening at Signal-Iduna Park (2-1 victory), Borussia Dortmund supporters gathered in the legendary South Stand deployed a gigantic tifo hostile to UEFA , the European football association which organizes the Champions League.

Large letters spread across the entire width of the “yellow wall” displayed the message “UEFA MAFIA”, a slogan regularly taken up by the ultra groups of clubs participating in the European Cups. Below it, a banner written in English: “You don’t care about sport – all you care about is money!” »

Above the stand, another banner revealed a web address: nein-zur-cl-reform.de, “No to the reform of the Champions League” in German. A group of ultras from different German clubs protesting against the new formula of European competitions.

“The increasing number of matches in competitions will push players and fans to their limits. The significant increase in revenues generated by the reforms could also destroy national competitions and pave the way for a European Super League,” claims the press release on the home page.
