Despite a double course in Spanish/Communication, I decided to take control of my dreams by heading into journalism. With a master’s degree in sports journalism, I cover sports and football news with as much admiration for transfer periods, when a club must make crucial choices for next season.

This Sunday, Tadej Pogacar won one of the greatest victories of his career by winning for the first time at the world championships. The Slovenian prodigy, already winner of the Giro and the Tour de this year, spoke after his magnificent solo success, and appeared stunned by his own performance.

Who else but him? Author of an extraordinary season marked by the superb double GiroTour de France, Tadej Pogacar amazed everyone this Sunday during the world championships on the road. Leaving the peloton 100km from the finish, the Slovenian champion resisted the return of his pursuers and won the rainbow jersey.

Tadej Pogacar world champion!

Pogacar has anticipated Ben O’Connor of 34 seconds, while the Dutchman Matthieu Van der Poel completes the podium, he who finished 58 seconds behind the overall winner. First Frenchman, Romain Bardet finished 10th with 2 minutes and 18 seconds behind. After this sublime victory, Tadej Pogacar went back on his completely audacious strategy, and even conceded that the latter could have made him lose everything.

“I can’t believe what just happened”

“I don’t know what was going through my mind.”said the lucid Slovenian about his risk-taking, in comments reported by RMC Sport. “It was obviously not the plan planned at the start but the race opened up quickly, with a dangerous breakaway ahead. Maybe it was stupid of me. Fortunately I got there. I can’t believe what just happened. I had put enormous pressure on myself. I had made this title a big goal after a perfect season. It’s incredible »concludes the Slovenian, who at only 26 years old, will wear the world champion jersey for the end-of-season classics…
