N12 flooded near Yffiniac: a monster traffic jam between Lamballe and Saint-Brieuc

Due to bad weather in recent days, a small part of the N12, between Lamballe and Saint-Brieuc, is submerged. Shortly before the Total station bordering the expressway, between Yffiniac and Coëtmieux, it seems that a retention basin has overflowed onto a large part of the two traffic lanes in the - direction. Bison Fûté alerted of this exceptional situation at 12:30 a.m., during the night from Sunday to Monday.

Since 7:30 a.m. this morning, the incident has caused a significant slowdown, with vehicles only able to pass on the left lane, the right lane being completely impassable, under water. Traffic then returns to normal near the Yffiniac rest area.

This very unusual flood caused an immense traffic jam which extended over the entire Lambalze area: around 8:40 a.m., it extended over around fifteen kilometers, as far as the Noyal interchange, or even as far as Plestan. It can waste an hour on the usual travel time between Lamballe and Saint-Brieuc.
