Another chapter of the Bills-Chiefs rivalry is set to unfold on Sunday in Kansas City. In recent years, there has been a pattern developing between the two teams.
Buffalo has won all four regular-season meetings between these teams since the 2021 season. However, Kansas City has won each of the three playoff meetings between them dating back to the 2020 campaign.
If the trend continues, the Chiefs will win and have a chance at a championship three-peat. But the Bills could play spoiler, as they’re the only team that has truly defeated Kansas City this season. (The Chiefs lost to the Denver Broncos in Week 18, but they were resting many of their starters in that contest.)
Sunday’s game will be exciting and competitive, as most Buffalo-Kansas City matchups have been in recent years. There will be amazing plays made by both Bills quarterback Josh Allen and Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes, while others will step up in big moments as well.
In the end, though, it will be Buffalo that prevails, advancing to its first Super Bowl since the 1993 season. Allen will make sure the Bills’ playoff woes vs. the Chiefs will not continue.
