At only 24 years old, the rebellious figure narrowly occupies first place in the first round organized this Sunday in the poorest town of Val-de-Marne.
The outcome of the election seems more uncertain than ever. At the end of the first round of the partial municipal election organized this Sunday in Villeneuve-Saint-Georges (Val-de-Marne), in which a third of the voters took part (33.45%), the very media rebellious Louis Boyard arrives at the top of the ballot with 24.89% of the votes, according to final results. If the young deputy, aged 24, is slightly ahead of the list of Republicans which occupies second place on the podium, he can hope to count in the second round – scheduled for next Sunday – on a good carryover of votes from the union list of the left, carried by Daniel Henry. On the condition that the latter, who came third (20.7%), withdraws to allow his camp to take back town hall from the right.
The Republicans (LR) and the center are precisely saving the furniture. And they can still have hope. Dissident candidate facing the mayor, LR Kristell Niasme gathered 22.70% of the votes. Actively supported by Valérie Pécresse, the LR contender is ahead of outgoing councilor Philippe Gaudin, relegated to fourth place (15.54%). As soon as the results were revealed, the president of the Ile-de-France region urged “candidates from the right and the center to rally behind the candidate who came out on top, who defends our values and the Republic: Kristell Niasme” pour “block” has “the victory of the LFI and disorder”. A call that also extends to “partisans of a republican left”who according to her should not “lose their soul”.
-Behind him, Éric Colson, standard bearer of the centrist UDI party, totaled 13.61% of the votes. As for the “unlabeled” Hamid Benyakhlef, he only collects 2.57% of the ballots. As a reminder, only lists having obtained at least 10% of the votes cast in the first round are authorized to remain in the second round.
